The global economic and financial crisis has resulted in very low levels of investment in the EU, which requires a collective and concerted effort at European level in order to set the EU back on a recovery path without exclusions. The EIB group (European Investment Bank and European Investment Fund), in cooperation with the European Commission, plays a leading role in addressing this issue by developing innovative solutions, which may contribute to supporting European entrepreneurship, employment of youth and business development with high social impact.
Based on the above, was organized on 06/06, in Brussels, a seminar on «Inclusive finance for employment and social innovation - EIB Stakeholder Engagement Workshop», with main purpose to provide interested parties the opportunity to meet and discuss the characteristics, advantages and appropriateness of new, alternative programs and financing instruments for companies.
The seminar consisted of:
- Sessions dedicated to microfinance and technical assistance and
- Sessions, focusing on projects aimed at development of promising social enterprises and promoting access to employment for young people.
Executives of "SYNERGASIA Ltd." took part in this seminar in order to be informed on the above issues and discuss with the representatives of the EIB group for the new programs and alternative business financing opportunities, expertise and experience at European level.
