The Energy Union project: cities and regions ahead of the game?
The Committee of the Regions and its partners assigned a specific role on the energy consumption in the EU and their priorities including the further development of the efforts required in the field of buildings energy performance. As part of this, they co-organized a conference entitled «The Energy Union Project: Cities and Regions Ahead of the Game?», held on 19th, June in Brussels.
The conference focused on local and regional needs of the Union, regarding energy issues (Session 1: Energy Union: Local and regional requirements) and worked together with key stakeholders, such as national and financial institutions, private companies and research institutes with financing solutions for local needs, driven by sustainable energy investments (Session 2: Rethinking financing solution for local needs-driven sustainable energy investments).
“SYNERGASIA Ltd" welcomed with its participation, Commission's commitment to improve the framework of conditions for financing energy efficiency projects at local and regional level, which was one of the key aspects of the discussion of the conference.
